I am Fiona Fallon (BA KFRP MFHT) a Health Kinesiologist and Senior Level 2 qualified Iyengar Yoga teacher based in Somerset and Wiltshire.
Health Kinesiology and Yoga are unique and independent of each other. They are however each based on the understanding that we are more than our physical bodies, thoughts and emotions. Each system acknowledges that we are surrounded and permeated by a subtle energy field which is known variously as ‘chi’ in Traditional Chinese Medicine, ‘prana’ in Sanskrit, ‘ki’ in Japanese. We might refer to it as ‘bio-energy’. It is believed that this is the life force energy vital to our existence.
By their different means, Health Kinesiology and the practice of yoga bring us towards a harmony with this vital life force energy and our true essential nature. In this state, we may then experience a natural well being, a vitality, an inner equilibrium, and integrity. Both of these paths are therefore potentially life-enhancing and can help us develop and improve ourselves.
Health Kinesiology works by clearing the blocks in the bio-energy system. In a session, the practitioner uses muscle testing to locate disturbances in the bio-energy or ‘chi’ and special procedures are used to correct these in relation to the client’s concerns and goals.
Yoga is an art, a science, and philosophy, of life that cultures and evolves the whole human being. Classes focus mainly on the teaching of yoga postures, which is one of the "8 limbs”, the Ashtanga of the yogic path.
